About Us
Little artists. Big impact.
When you grow up far from museums and art classes, creativity takes on a life of its own and you use bottle caps, old fabric, scrap paper and whatever you can find. At Art4Charity, we showcase the raw, imaginative talent of children from South Africa’s rural farming communities.
Each year, we host an art competition to celebrate their creativity, and every time, we’re blown away by the creativity and talent of our learners in the afterschool projects. These artworks each have their own story and the artworks are made from recyclable material, pieces of everyday objects, or plants and flowers at the specific afterschools.

Now, through Art4Charity, we’re sharing these creations with the world. Art4Charity is a platform to schowcase the incredible creativity and talent of rural learners and also to raise funds for the 22 Anna Foundation Afterschool Projects and support and the broader work of the Anna Foundation. When you choose one of these artworks as a corporate or personal gift, you're not just giving something unique you are helping us to create a safe space for a child. When you choose to buy one of these artworks you help us to change lives.

The Anna Foundation's Story
In 2005, Anna Brom was volunteering as a remedial teacher at a rural farm school in Mpumalanga. Many of the learners she worked with – some in their mid-teens – were still in primary school and struggling with basic reading and writing. With no specialised teachers and limited resources, it became clear that these children needed urgent support.
Anna began by offering extra English and Maths lessons, creating a “library-in-a-box” so learners could take home their very first books. She also started a small running group to give children a chance to be active and build confidence. These early initiatives laid the foundation for what would become the Anna Foundation’s 3Rs programme: Reading, Running and Right-ing – a holistic model that combines education, physical development
