This vibrant piece was created by the younger learners at the Anna Foundation’s Graham Beck after-school project. They used colourful paper and their bright imaginations, to decorate the artwork and add their own hand-drawn version of Table Mountain in the background.
Table Mountain, one of South Africa’s most iconic landmarks, stands as a symbol of strength and resilience. Just across the water lies Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela spent 18 of his 27 years in prison. By including these landmarks, the children paid tribute to South Africa’s journey toward freedom and the importance of never giving up.
