This textured and thoughtfully composed piece was created by the older learners at the Anna Foundation’s Graham Beck after-school project. With the South African flag forming a bold backdrop, the artwork highlights the heritage and unity of the South African people.

The shirt, a focal point of the piece, is richly decorated using a variety of grains – including split peas, lentils, two-minute noodles, wheat and corn – creating a striking mix of texture and earthy tones. A touch of leopard-print fabric adds a layer of cultural flair and contrast. The border, cleverly made from oats, gives the piece a natural, grounded finish.

This A1 work (63cm x 88cm)reflects the creativity and attention to detail of the young artists from the Anna Foundation's Graham Beck afterschool, while honouring South Africa’s diversity. Framed in a deep shadow box with a glass cover, it’s a unique and meaningful addition to any space. Proceeds from this piece support the Anna Foundation’s mission to uplift rural children through education, sport and life skills.
