This piece was created by the Grade R and 1 learners from the Anna Foundation’s Hexwal after-school project. Using shredded paper, the children carefully built a background in the colours of the South African flag. For Madiba’s shirt, they used glitter, pieces of sponge, grass and paint to add texture and colour in a wonderfully imaginative way.

It’s a playful and proudly South African artwork, full of charm and curiosity.

Framed with a glass cover, the A1 piece (63cm x 88cm) is beautifully finished and ready for display. By purchasing it through Artforcharity, you’re supporting the Anna Foundation’s mission to empower rural children through education, sport and life skills.
